This beautiful Claddagh inspired cross is made from sterling silver with the Claddagh symbol proudly sitting in the center of the cross with the hands extending to be the cross. This particular piece has three shamrocks replacing the crown to symbolize Irish unity and the center of the heart inspired by the Celtic swirls and the trinity knot. Which in Christianity represents the Father, The Son and The Holy Ghost but outside of religion can symbolise the past, present and future.
The Claddagh symbol is a traditional Irish piece which represents love, loyalty, and friendship. The design and customs associated with it originated in the Irish fishing village of the same name in Galway. The ring, as currently known, was first produced in the 17th century.
Handmade by Robert in our Galway workshop our 9ct Yellow Gold Claddagh Pendant is a symbol of everlasting love.
