Ogham
pronounced: “oh-am”

Ogham is an ancient language used by pre-Christian settlers in Ireland. The language consists of different lines, strikes, and spaces representing different letters. Ogham in Ireland is often compared to hieroglyphics in Egypt.
The Ogham language would have most likely been written as Gailge, however, it is a very different type than what we are used to today. The words written across each stone would have marked some importance or to ward off others.

Today we use ogham to feel close to our past and heritage.
